Car sales in Uzbekistan grew by 40% in July – CERR
Almost 145,000 vehicles were sold last month throughout the republic, which is more by 40% compared to the same period last year.
The Center for Economic Research and Reforms published a report on the growth in the automotive market of Uzbekistan in July.
According to the report, after a sharp decline in June, sales of motor vehicles in July increased by 17% to 144.5 thousand. Also, compared to July last year, sales growth was 40%.
The most noticeable growth was observed in Bukhara (36%), Syrdarya (35%) and Surkhandarya regions (31%).
It is noted that in the primary market sales of new cars increased by 19.2% over July. During the month, 29.6 thousand cars of domestic production and 4.9 thousand of foreign production were sold.
The secondary market also saw an increase in sales during this period. Over the month, 97.6 thousand cars were sold, which is 30% more than in July last year.
