The Saudi company in the field of alternative energy Vision Industries plans to start work in Uzbekistan, the MIIT press service reported.

Deputy head of the ministry Oybek Khamrayev received the director of the business development company Mohammed Bu-Zeid. The parties discussed the possibilities for organizing joint production initiatives.

“Agreements have been reached on the implementation of joint projects in the field of localization of components used for wind energy systems,” the ministry said.

The previous week, Omar Al-Midani, president of the investment company Vision Invest, also visited the republic. He was received personally by the head of MIIT Laziz Kudratov.

The prospects for cooperation in education, healthcare, transport and logistics, industrial waste management and water purification were discussed with him. The parties agreed to start working on new projects in these areas.

Vision Industries was established in 2021 as a joint venture between the Abunayyan Holding and Al Muhandib Capital groups. It manages assets worth $5.3 billion - systems for storing electricity, producing "green" hydrogen and components for wind turbines.

The two groups are also founding members of Vision Invest, an infrastructure holding with more than $50 billion in energy, water, construction and transportation assets, including ACWA Power, cooling solution provider Saudi Tabreed and plumbing operator Miahona.
