Cross-border cargo transportation route from China to Uzbekistan opened

The first train of the “China – Central Asia” cargo transportation has left from the city of Liuzhou in the south of China to Uzbekistan, the Chinese press reported.

The train with 261 cars left on August 30 and will arrive in Uzbekistan in more than two weeks.

“Liuzhou – Tashkent” route has become the sixth cross-border channel within China-Europe and China-Central Asia cargo transportation. In recent years, Nanning-Moscow, Nanning-Almaty, Liuzhou-Moscow, Liuzhou-Almaty and Nanning-Tashkent routes have been opened by China Railway Administration in Nanning, the administrative center of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, where Liuzhou is located.

Automobiles, heavy equipment, food and other goods are exported from Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region through these channels.

For information, Liuzhou is a major base for the production of auto parts and the export of vehicles and components in China.
