National air carrier Uzbekistan Airways is transferring most flights from Moscow Domodedovo airport to Vnukovo, the airline said.
Flights HY613/614 heading from Tashkent to Moscow and back, as well as all flights from Fergana, Namangan, Samarkand, Bukhara, Navoi, Karshi, Termez, Urgench, and Nukus to Moscow and back, will be operated to Vnukovo International Airport.
From October 1, only two flights HY601/602 and HY603/604 from Tashkent will continue to fly to Moscow Domodedovo Airport.
One can purchase air tickets to/from Vnukovo International Airport from September 22.
The airspace over Vnukovo and Domodedovo airports has been periodically closed over the past months. This was due to air raids in the Russian capital. As a result, many flights were delayed or canceled, and arriving aircraft were diverted to other airports.
