Nearly 600 apartments damaged in Sergeli explosion
As a result of the explosion, 592 apartments in 26 multi-storey buildings, as well as 8 service stations, 1 school, and 2 kindergarten buildings were damaged in the Sergeli district.
Tashkent city governor Shavkat Umrzakov's preliminary report on the investigation of the causes of the emergency situation in the Sergeli district, the elimination of the losses, and the assistance to the victims has been announced.
“In order to quickly solve the problems of the residents affected by the emergency situation in the Sergeli district, a helpline has been established (1205).
I have been informed that as a result of the incident, 592 apartments in 26 high-rise buildings, 8 service stations, 1 school, and 2 kindergarten buildings were damaged.
Also, the facades, window-frames, and roofs of 24 multi-storey buildings and 25 households in the area sustained damage.
Affected buildings will be restored in a short period of time,” said the governor.
