Uzbekistan appoints new ambassador to Germany
On the eve of President Mirziyoyev's visit to Germany, a new ambassador has been appointed to this country.
Dilshod Akhatov has become the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Germany.
Akhatov is 51 years old and graduated from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.
Prior to the appointment – since 2020 – he had been working as Uzbekistan’s ambassador to India.
Dilshod Ahatov replaced Nabijon Kasimov, who had been leading the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Germany since 2017.
