Uzbekistan and Russia agree on social guarantees for labor migrants
According to official statistics, around 2 million Uzbeks work in Russia.

At a meeting in Moscow, the presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia agreed on the speedy preparation of an agreement on social guarantees for Uzbek labor migrants working in the Russian Federation.
“During the negotiations, we agreed to speed up the preparation of the relevant agreement, paying special attention to the issues of strengthening social guarantees for our citizens working in Russia,” the President of Uzbekistan said following the meeting.
It should be noted that in 2022, Uzbeks made up more than 40% of foreigners who arrived in Russia to work.
