Individuals attempting to smuggle over 2 kg of opium into Uzbekistan detained
The narcotics were discovered during an inspection of a train arriving from a neighboring country.

Reportedly, the Surkhandarya regional customs department at the "Ayritom" border customs post inspected the carriages of a freight train arriving from a neighboring country in the established manner. During the inspection, the narcotic drug opium, with a total weight of 2.14 kilograms, was discovered and seized.
The drugs were hidden in a hiding place at the bottom of the railway carriage.
