Mirziyoyev, Lukashenko discuss strengthening relations between Uzbekistan and Belarus
On October 13, Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a meeting with the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on the sidelines of the CIS summit in Bishkek.
At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for their further development.
The sides noted the importance of taking coordinated measures to further expand trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation.
They also considered upcoming events at various levels, including the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission, the Forum of Regions, and the meeting of rectors of leading higher education institutions of Uzbekistan and Belarus.
Mirziyoyev and Lukashenko exchanged views on cooperation within the framework of the CIS and other international organizations. A plan for future activities was also discussed.
