UNICEF Representative Office head in Uzbekistan completing his mission
On November 6, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov received the head of the UNICEF Representative Office in Uzbekistan, Munir Mammadzade, who is completing his mission to the republic.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the conversation, Saidov expressed gratitude to Munir Mammadzade and his team for their active work and immense support for reforms in Uzbekistan aimed at creating the best conditions for the people.
Munir Mammadzade assumed the duties of UNICEF Representative to Uzbekistan in August 2020, replacing Sascha Graumann.
Prior to this, he served as UNICEF Deputy Representative to Kyrgyzstan for three years where he was leading UNICEF programs, coordinating cross-sectoral collaboration, both internally and within the UN System in his capacity as a chair of the Program Management Team. He has worked in UNICEF Country Offices in Azerbaijan, Moldova, Nepal as well as the Regional Office for Europe and Central Asia.
