Ambassador of Uzbekistan begins his mission in UK
Yesterday, the new Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshan Usmanov presented Victoria Busby, Director of the Protocol Department of the British Foreign Office, with copies of his credentials.
During the meeting, issues of the modern development of Uzbekistan, the rich historical and cultural heritage of its people, as well as issues of further development of Uzbek-British multifaceted cooperation were discussed.
Victoria Busby emphasized the readiness of the British side to further expand and strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation with Uzbekistan.
It should be recalled that the new ambassador of Uzbekistan arrived in the capital of Great Britain on November 14. Since 2018, he has been ambassador to Malaysia. He began working in the foreign policy department in 2000, and held various positions in the central office and the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Spain. He worked as ambassador to France, as well as part-time in Italy and Portugal.
Ravshan Usmanov replaced Said Rustamov, who served as ambassador to the UK since 2019.
