Uzbekistan appoints new Consul General in the Kyrgyz city of Osh
On November 20, the newly appointed Consul General of Uzbekistan Zafarbek Akhmedov arrived in the city of Osh (Kyrgyzstan).

Prior to the appointment, Akhmedov worked as the head of the Consular and Legal Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Previously he was an adviser to the chairman of the Committee on Interethnic and Friendly Relations with Foreign Countries.
The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in the city of Osh was opened in 2022. Its consular district includes the Batken, Jalalabad, and Osh regions of Kyrgyzstan.
