At the same time, 235 patients are being treated in the regional infectious diseases hospital, and 20 patients over 2 years old are being treated in the Beshkapa children’s hospital. There are currently 85 available beds in the region. Of the 255 patients, 62% were children under 1 year of age, 25% were children aged 1-3 years.
The Committee also emphasized that the region has a sufficient supply of diagnostic tools, reagents and vaccines. 9,500 doses of measles and rubella vaccine were transferred to the region. According to epidemiological indications, 1,936 children were vaccinated against measles.
It is noted that in the vaccination rooms of medical institutions in the region there are 310 doses of vaccine against measles and rubella.
“Over 10 months, 735 cases of measles were confirmed. It should be noted that in November, 3 million doses of measles vaccines were purchased from the state budget. These vaccines are intended for children who have missed vaccinations and children 6 months to 5 years of age who have been exposed to or are at risk of having measles. Vaccines are currently being distributed to regions,” the Committee said in a statement.
