Tashkent center covered with heavy smoke due to a fire
On the morning of November 28, a fire broke out near the Cosmonauts metro station in Tashkent. As a result, smoke engulfed the area around the Ministry of Internal Affairs building.
Reportedly, people living nearby fled from their homes. According to eyewitnesses, cables may have caught fire underground. Several fire engines arrived at the scene.
Regional Electricity Networks JSC reports that in the above situation, the 35 kV cable network coming from the 110/35/10 kV Sayilgokh substation was damaged.
Customers have been completely transferred to another network until the situation is resolved. Allegedly, there is currently no information about a power outage; the cause of the incident is being investigated.
