Uzbekistan to strengthen trade relations with Shanghai
Uzbek diplomats held talks in Shanghai with the Chairman of the Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Zhou Minhao, and the Chairman of the Regional Federation of Industry and Commerce, Zhou Jiqi.
During the negotiations, the diplomats briefed the Chinese side about the economic potential of Uzbekistan and the wide opportunities created for business activities in the country.
Representatives of China noted with satisfaction that today the scale of trade and economic relations between the two countries is expanding. They voiced interest in further increasing the presence of leading Shanghai companies in Uzbekistan.
The parties exchanged views on attracting companies working in the fields of electronics, biotechnology, green energy, food, and other fields to investment projects.
At the meetings, the schedule of exhibitions and forums that will be held in 2024 was considered. Details of joint events and visits planned for next year were also discussed.
