Individuals trying to sell gold coins for $100,000 detained in Surkhandarya
In Surkhandarya, two people who wanted to sell a gold coin of the end of the 19th century for $100,000 were arrested. The coin has the inscription “Petru Bogdanovu 1899”, weighs 61.69 grams and refers to cultural wealth.

In the Surkhandarya region, law enforcement agencies detained people selling gold coins from the end of the 19th century, the press service of the PGO Department for Combating Economic Crimes reported.
In an operative event, citizens J.A. and A.J. were caught with material evidence when they sold a gold coin from the end of the 19th century to citizen A.E. for $100,000. The coin has the inscription “Petru Bogdanovu 1899”, weighs 61.69 grams and refers to cultural wealth.
On the above fact, a criminal case was initiated under Article 177 of the Criminal Code (Illegal acquisition or transfer of currency values). An investigation is currently underway.
