Debtors from garbage disposal services to be deprived of several rights
From April 1, debtors from garbage disposal services will not be able to register real estate and vehicle ownership contracts.
On January 4, the president signed a decree limiting payments for electricity if there are debts for garbage collection. The order will affect Tashkent, Nukus and regional centers, and from 2025 – the entire republic.
If there are debts for garbage removal, some transactions will not be notarized, the Ministry of Justice said.
From April 1, 2024, contracts on real estate and vehicles will be certified by a notary only in the absence of debt for the removal of solid household waste.
The presence or absence of debts for garbage removal will be checked online – through a unified electronic system of payment and accounting of mandatory payments.
In addition, from April this year, sanitary cleaning enterprises must provide services through a unified electronic system. Contracts with companies not connected to the system will be terminated, and the areas they serve will be transferred to other players on the basis of public-private partnership.
Payments for waste disposal services are accepted through the billing system of the Republican Center for Organization of Sanitary Cleaning Works, e-payment systems and cash desks of commercial banks.
