Statistics Agency provides data about population density in Uzbekistan

According to the Statistics Agency, as of January 1, 2024, the average number of permanent residents per square kilometer of land in Uzbekistan was 82.
Compared to the same period last year, the indicator increased by 1.8 people (as of January 1, 2023, the population density in the republic was 80.2 people per sq. km.)
As of January 1, 2024, the permanent population of Uzbekistan was 36.8 million people.
18,768,500 of the population live in urban areas and 18,031,300 people live in rural areas.
