Uzbekistan increases potato cultivation
According to preliminary data from the Statistics Agency, about 3.6 million tons of potatoes were produced in Uzbekistan last year.
The volume of potatoes grown increased by 3.8% compared to 2022.
The volume of potatoes grown by regions:
Samarkand region – 726.3 thousand tons
Andijan region – 437.6 thousand tons
Tashkent region – 386.6 thousand tons
Fergana region – 372.6 thousand tons
Surkhandarya region – 356.5 thousand tons
Namangan region – 337 thousand tons
Bukhara region – 257.2 thousand tons
Kashkadarya region – 195.4 thousand tons
Khorezm region – 148.1 thousand tons
Jizzakh region – 103.9 thousand tons
Republic of Karakalpakstan – 96.4 thousand tons
Navoi region – 88.1 thousand tons
Syrdarya region – 68.4 thousand tons
