Kuwait welcomes Uzbekistan's new ambassador, aims for strengthened relations
On February 20, Uzbekistan's new ambassador, Ayubkhon Yunusov, handed over a copy of his credentials to Kuwait's Foreign Minister, Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya.
Following a brief ceremony, the parties discussed the current state of bilateral relations and prospects for their further development.
During the meeting, emphasis was placed on the importance of deepening cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kuwait in socio-economic, political, scientific, educational, and cultural-enlightenment spheres, increasing the volume of mutual trade, and implementing joint investment projects.
The parties also reviewed the schedule for upcoming joint events for the current year.
Following the talks, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister sincerely congratulated the ambassador on his appointment to this responsible position and wished him success in his diplomatic endeavors.
It should be noted that prior to his appointment in Kuwait, Yunusov served as the head of the Consular and Legal Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
