Individuals who tried to smuggle 28 units of iPhone 15 into the country detained in Fergana
The phones, which were hidden in the interior of the car and in the inner pocket of the driver, did not have documents confirming that they had passed customs clearance.
During an operative event held by law enforcement officers in Fergana, a Lacetti car driven moving in the direction of “Vodil-Margilan” was stopped in the prescribed manner in the Kirguli block of Fergana city, and was inspected with the participation of impartial parties.
As a result of inspection, it was found out that there were a total of 28 iPhone 15 mobile phones of 3 types with a total value of 394 million soums, made abroad, without documents confirming that they have passed customs clearance. Allegedly, they were hidden in 3 places of the car interior and inside the driver’s clothes; they were temporarily detained as physical evidence, the press service of the Fergana regional customs department reported.
Currently, the customs authorities are conducting an investigation on the above fact.
