Officials of poverty reduction and employment assistance department being prosecuted in Bekabad district

As a result of operative-search activities carried out by employees of the State Security Service for Tashkent region in cooperation with the PGO Department, a situation of law violation was discovered in Bekabad district.

It was reported that N.J., the head of Bekobad district poverty alleviation and employment assistance department, and chief accountant E.U. colluded with the heads of 3 LLCs specializing in tailoring. In October-December 2023, they entered false information into official documents about the delivery of equipment necessary for household activities for 116 citizens living in the district. As a result, the officials looted 950 million 570 thousand soums.

Currently, a criminal case has been initiated against these persons under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code.
