Uzbekistan boxing team secures five licenses for Paris Olympics
Following the results of the licensed Olympic tournament in Italy, five athletes won tickets to the 2024 Olympic Games.
From March 3 to 11, the first world Olympic boxing qualifying tournament was held in Busto Arsizio, Italy. 670 athletes competed for 49 tickets to the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Five athletes from the Uzbekistan national team managed to get tickets to the Summer Olympic Games:
• Sabina Bobokulova (-50 kg);
• Ruslan Abdullayev (-63.5 kg);
• Asadkhodja Moidinhojaev (-71 kg);
• Turabek Khabibullayev (-80 kg);
• Lazizbek Mullojonov (-92 kg).
It is noted that before the Olympics there will be another qualifying tournament in Thailand, at which licenses will be awarded.
