Tashkent residents to see increase in heating and hot water bills

New tariffs for heating and hot water supply have been approved in Tashkent, Veolia Energy Tashkent LLC reported.

It is noted that based on the decision of the Tashkent mayor "On the approval of new regulated prices (tariffs) for heating services provided by the private enterprise LLC Veolia Energy Tashkent," from April 2, 2024, the tariffs for heating and hot water supply services to the population have been increased by 15%.

For reference, the new tariffs came into effect not the day after the heating season ended, i.e., not from March 27, but from April 2, 2024, based on the relevant decree of the Tashkent mayor.

"If you made payments for heating and hot water supply services at the increased rate from March 27 to April 2, the overpaid amount will be credited as an advance payment," the statement says.
