New governor appointed to Piskent district
Nodirbek Yakubov, who headed the district for more than a year, left his post.
On April 11, an extraordinary session of the council of people’s deputies of Piskent district was held. At the meeting with the participation of regional governor Zoyir Mirzayev, Nodirbek Yakubov, who is working as the governor of Piskent district, was released from his position in accordance with his letter of resignation.
According to the press service of the Tashkent regional administration, Muzaffar Aripov was appointed as the acting governor of Piskent district.
Muzaffar Aripov was born in 1985 in Tashkent region. In 2010, he graduated from the Tashkent State Agrarian University, and in 2020 – from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Prior to his appointment, he worked as the head of the Organizational Personnel Group under the Tashkent regional administration.
For information, Nodirbek Yakubov has been leading Piskent district since January 2023. He previously served as Deputy Minister of Employment and Labor Relations in 2018-2023.
