District governor becomes first deputy governor of Surkhandarya region
Sherzod Rajabov was appointed first deputy governor of Surkhandarya region for financial and economic issues and the fight against poverty, the press service of the regional administration said.
His predecessor Anvar Oripov was relieved of his post in connection with the transition to another job.
Sherzod Rajabov was born in 1984. In 2007, he graduated from Termez State University, and in 2014 – Tashkent State Economic University.
He worked in the Surkhandarya regional administration, as the head of the department, and then the deputy director of the agency for development of viticulture and winemaking, deputy director of the agency for regulation of alcohol and tobacco market and development of winemaking.
Prior to his appointment, since 2023 he worked as a governor of the Kizirik district.
