School leadership imposed a sentence for death of schoolboy who died from electric shock in Tashkent
The deputy director for economic affairs and the school director were found guilty of official negligence leading to the death of a person.
In Tashkent, a verdict was passed on the management of school No. 99 in the Mirzo-Ulugbek district, where an 8th grade student died from electric shock last December. This was reported by the “Millar” program, which also published a video from a surveillance camera that recorded the tragic incident.
The teenager’s death was caused by electric shock, acute respiratory failure, cardiovascular failure, cerebral and pulmonary edema. An electric shock mark was also found on his left palm.
The Mirzo-Ulugbek district criminal court heard a criminal case and sentenced two defendants.
According to the verdict, the school’s deputy director for the economic department was found guilty of committing a crime under paragraph “a” of Article 207-3 of the Criminal Code (Official negligence resulting in the death of a person), he was sentenced to 4 years of imprisonment with deprivation of the right to occupy leadership positions and positions related to financial responsibility for a period of 2 years.
