Uzbekistan’s honorary consulate opened in Azerbaijani Ganja
An official opening ceremony of the first honorary consulate of Uzbekistan in this country took place in Ganja, one of the ancient cities of Azerbaijan.
The official opening ceremony of the honorary consulate of Uzbekistan took place in the presence of the head of the executive power of the city of Ganja, Niyazi Bayramov, heads of the Turkish and Georgian consulates in Ganja, representatives of the business community, science, the city public and local media.
Speakers at the ceremony noted that this event creates an excellent opportunity for further expansion and deepening of mutually beneficial and partnership relations between fraternal countries and peoples. It was also noted that the opening of the honorary consulate of Uzbekistan in Ganja will be recorded as a historical event in the chronicle of cooperation between the two fraternal countries.
Kanan Jalilov was appointed the first honorary consul of Uzbekistan in Azerbaijan.
The honorary consulate will help protect the rights and interests of citizens of our country, develop economic cooperation, attract investment and tourists to Uzbekistan, and develop cultural and humanitarian ties.
After the official opening ceremony, embassy staff organized an off-site reception for compatriots living in this city.
