Russia introduced temporary ban on sugar exports
Deliveries in certain volumes will be possible to the EAEU countries.

Russia has introduced a temporary ban on the export of cane or beet sugar and chemically pure sucrose. This is stated in a message posted on the government website.
“The restriction will be in effect until August 31, 2024. The decision is aimed at maintaining the stability of the domestic food market,” the statement said.
However, the decree provides for a number of exceptions for four countries. Thus, supplies in certain volumes will be possible to Armenia (the limit will be 28 thousand tons), Belarus (5 thousand tons), Kazakhstan (120 thousand tons) and Kyrgyzstan (28.5 thousand tons).
