Ministry of Foreign Affairs cautions citizens on new entry requirements for Kazakhstan and Russia
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Uzbekistan has requested citizens intending to travel to Kazakhstan to carry all necessary documents due to changes in the entry rules to the country. Additionally, the MFA reminded that entry restrictions applicable to Russia are also in force in Kazakhstan.
The MFA addressed citizens planning to enter Kazakhstan in light of the changes to the entry regulations.
The MFA recommended travelers to carry all necessary documents for entering and exiting Kazakhstan.
"Simultaneously, it is essential to ensure beforehand that there are no obstacles to entering not only Kazakhstan but also the Russian Federation at the Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan or Russia-Kazakhstan borders. This is because, in accordance with the agreements between Russia and Kazakhstan on the mutual recognition and enforcement of administrative and criminal rulings, Kazakhstan's competent authorities conduct checks for violations of Russian Federation migration and other legal regulations or unpaid fines," emphasized the Ministry.
The report indicates that if violations recorded during the stay in the Russian Federation or unpaid fines are detected, the Kazakhstani side may decide to ban the entry or exit of the Uzbekistan citizen.
To prevent issues from arising, the Ministry recommended verifying whether there are any entrance bans for Russia through a special online form available in the "Services" section of the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the Main Directorate for Migration Issues.
