Valuable trees worth almost 1.5 billion soums destroyed in Tashkent region

The PGO Office for Supervision of Compliance with Laws in the Field of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Forestry, in cooperation with the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, is studying the work being carried out within the framework of the “Yashil makon” project.

It turned out that responsible employees of the Main Department of Improvement under the Tashkent regional administration ignored the destruction of 175 valuable trees planted on the territory of the Yukori Chirchik district.

The damage caused to flora amounted to 1 billion 487 million soums.

A criminal case has been initiated into this fact and a preliminary investigation is underway.
