Program of Vladimir Putin’s stay in Uzbekistan announced
At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin will pay a state visit to our country on May 26-27.
In accordance with the program of stay, negotiations at the highest level are envisaged.
The agenda of the upcoming meeting includes issues of further development and deepening of Uzbek-Russian relations of comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance.
Particular attention will be paid to expanding practical interaction, primarily increasing mutual trade turnover, promoting cooperation projects in economic sectors, supporting innovative cooperation programs, and continuing active cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
Following the summit, it is planned to adopt a package of bilateral documents.
State leaders will also take part in the first meeting of the Council of Regions of Uzbekistan and Russia.
It should be noted that on the eve of the visit, a number of joint events are taking place in the city of Tashkent – a meeting of rectors of leading engineering and technical universities, a scientific and practical medical conference and Russian Art Week.
