Uzbek diplomats meet with students studying at a university in German city of Freising

Representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Frankfurt am Main met with Uzbek students studying at the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences in the city of Freising.

The University of Applied Sciences “Weihenstephan-Triesdorf” was founded in 1971 in the federal state of Bavaria. The university trains specialists in the advanced training program in the field of agriculture and the international master’s course “Agricultural Management”. The educational institution cooperates with more than 60 universities around the world. Currently, the university’s curriculum is focused on protecting the environment and promoting green engineering in the agricultural sector.

During the meeting, the priorities of youth policy, the created socio-economic, legal, organizational conditions and guarantees for supporting and developing the creative potential of young people were discussed.

It was emphasized that more than 100 laws and regulations on youth policy have recently been adopted, aimed at broadly consolidating the rights and freedoms of young people and improving the legal framework for protecting their legitimate interests.

There was also an interested exchange of views on the consolidation of Uzbek youth in Germany and holding joint cultural events, creative performances and thematic meetings, including at the venues of the Uzbek Youth Club. The students noted that, despite the fact that they are far from their homeland, they do not intend to lose cultural and social ties with their historical homeland and compatriots. In this regard, a proposal was approved to hold joint events on a regular basis in honor of national and religious holidays of our country with the participation of German-Uzbek cultural associations and students from Uzbekistan studying at various universities in Germany.

During the meeting, Consulate General employees answered consular-legal and other questions of interest to compatriots.
