Individual who promised to “help” with admission to MIA Academy for $3,000 detained
In Khorezm and Namangan regions, persons who promised to enroll in university illegally were detained, the PGO Department reported.
An operative event was held by the Namangan regional PGO and SSS Departments. During the event, citizen O.U. was caught with material evidence when he received 1.5 thousand dollars in return for enrolling citizen for enrolling citizen A.N. in the field of Informatics of the Namangan Engineering-Construction Institute with the help of his acquaintances.
In the same way, citizen I.M. took part in an operative event organized by the Yangibozor district department in cooperation with employees of the State Security Service. He was caught with material evidence when he earned the trust of two citizens and promised to help with their admission to the MIA Academy for $3,000 via his acquaintances working in high positions.
On the above cases, criminal cases have been initiated under Articles 168 (fraud) and 28, 211 (bribery) of the Criminal Code, and investigations are being conducted.
