Ambassador of Uzbekistan to South Korea Vitaly Fen dies
Ambassador of Uzbekistan to South Korea Vitaly Fen, who served in this post for 25 years, died at the age of 77, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan reported.
“V. Fen was an outstanding statesman, master of sports and professional diplomat, who devoted his entire life to serving the Motherland. He headed the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan in Seoul for 25 years and made a huge contribution to the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea. His many years of activity left an indelible mark on the strengthening of Uzbek-South Korean ties,” the department said in a statement.
Feng was awarded the Order of "Fidokorona xizmatlari uchun" and "Mehnat shuhrati", as well as the Order of "Gwangghwa" of South Korea. The diplomat was born in 1947 in Margilan.
