Samarkand to host GCC-Central Asia Strategic Dialogue
Ambassador of Uzbekistan Nodirjon Turgunov met with the Director of the Political Affairs Department at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Nasir Al-Sheikh.
The parties discussed the preparation for the second meeting of the Strategic Dialogue "Gulf Cooperation Council – Central Asia" at the level of heads of state in 2025 in Samarkand.
The Director highly appreciated the results of the second meeting of the Strategic Dialogue "Gulf Cooperation Council – Central Asia" at the level of foreign ministers, which was held on April 15 in Tashkent. He stated that the General Secretariat will mobilize all efforts to hold the next summit at a high organizational level.
In this regard, the necessity of maintaining constant contact between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, the Embassy of Uzbekistan, and the General Secretariat of the GCC was noted.
To prepare for the summit, it was decided to hold a meeting at the level of deputy foreign ministers of the Central Asian countries and the GCC member states.
