Construction Inspection to be integrated into government structure
Penalties for unauthorized or non-compliant construction projects are expected to be intensified.
A videoconference meeting chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev is being held to analyze the economic growth rates in the regions and sectors for the first half of the year and to discuss priority tasks for the rest of the year.
During the meeting, the need to revitalize the activities of the Construction Inspection was emphasized.
In the past one and a half years, 2,200 construction projects without proper expertise have been unjustifiably permitted. Last year, 1,600 unregistered construction projects were identified.
Therefore, it was decided to integrate this inspection into the government structure and expand its powers.
The necessity to intensify penalties for unauthorized or non-compliant construction projects was stressed.
To detect such cases, the Construction Inspection's technical capabilities, including the use of drones, will be expanded.
