Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment to spend 1.2 billion UZS on creating a website and mobile app
The Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment will spend 1.204 billion UZS to create the websites and mobile apps “qadriyatim.uz” and “tanlov.manaviyat.uz.” Last October, the Center also spent 127 million UZS to create its official web portal.
The Republic Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment will spend a total of 1.204 billion UZS to create the “qadriyatim.uz” portal and interactive mobile app, as well as the “tanlov.manaviyat.uz” website and mobile app, according to data placed on the Commodity Exchange.
It is noted that the “qadriyatim.uz” website and mobile app will contain information about Uzbekistan's national traditions, ceremonies, holidays, and various values. A budget of 875.21 million UZS is allocated for creating this platform.
The “tanlov.manaviyat.uz” website and mobile app, designed for holding competitions and quizzes, will receive 329.19 million UZS.
Three companies participated in the tender, and “United IT Company” LLC emerged as the winner. This company was registered on October 8, 2020, and is engaged in computer programming. It has also won several major tenders from state organizations in the past:
- Developing the hudud24.uz information and analytical website and its mobile app for the Ministry of Justice (initial tender amount – 250 million UZS);
- Creating the official website for the Social and Legal Media Center (initial tender amount – 200 million UZS);
- Providing technical support for existing websites and information systems for the "Uzsuvtaminot" joint-stock company (initial tender amount – 357 million UZS);
- Developing an electronic rating system to evaluate the work activities of youth leaders in neighborhoods and providing one year of technical support services (initial tender amount – 770 million UZS);
- Developing a new version of the official website for the Youth Affairs Agency (initial tender amount – 34 million UZS);
- Establishing a unified automated information system for monitoring the delivery of biological products to regions for inter-biological laboratory services (initial tender amount – 440 million UZS).
Last October, the Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment also held a tender for 127 million UZS to create its official web portal, won by "Fond Away" LLC.
It should be noted that in November 2022, the Agency for Working with Neighborhoods under the now-defunct Ministry of Poverty Reduction spent 8.4 billion UZS (equivalent to $755 thousand at that time) to create the “Online Neighborhood” information system without holding a tender, which sparked public outcry. In September 2023, Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov issued an order to allocate nearly 500 million UZS from the budget to create a portal about artists who received state awards.
For reference, the state budget deficit exceeded 34 trillion UZS in the first half of 2024, which is almost 27% more than the previous year.
