During the raids it was revealed that the regional divisions of the Sports Association of Hunters and Fishermen in the Andijan, Bukhara, Navoi, Kashkadarya, Namangan, Surkhandarya and Khorezm regions did not monitor the full return of hunting permits.

As a result, in 2020-2022, hunters did not return 9,690 hunting licenses after using them, which contributed to the multiple use of permits and illegal hunting.

The Ministry of Ecology also found that the Syrdarya regional branch of the association, despite the expiration of the contract for hunting grounds in 2022, continued to sell illegal hunting permits for 25 thousand animals in 2023.

In addition, in 20 cases, hunters, using illegal permits, killed 49 wild birds during prohibited periods.

In 2023, 997 cases of violation of hunting and fishing rules were identified in the republic, in connection with which measures were taken against 995 individuals in the amount of 1.7 billion UZS.

The collected materials on these facts have been transferred to law enforcement agencies, and a legal assessment of the situation is currently being given.
