Hungarian company explores new projects for efficient groundwater management in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan's Ambassador, Oybek Shakhavdinov, met with the Director of the Hungarian company GeoGold Kárpátia, Antal Serfőző.
The company provides services in the implementation of geological, hydrogeological, and environmental projects, as well as geophysical and water studies on the earth's surface. GeoGold Kárpátia has participated in the preparation and implementation of several international projects on groundwater and environmental research. Beyond the Carpathian Basin, the company is involved in projects investigating drinking water in the Arusha region (Northern Tanzania), Fergana, and Syrdarya regions of Uzbekistan, as well as in the Balkans.
Since 2022, the company has been implementing a project in the Namangan region called "Determination of the Aquifer Using Geophysical Measurements and Hydrogeological Modeling, and the Creation of a Hydrogeological Monitoring System."
During the meeting, new projects aimed at improving the efficiency of groundwater use were discussed.
In this context, an agreement was reached to organize negotiations between the company's representatives and Uzbekistan's Ministry of Water Management, Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, Ministry of Energy, Uzsuvtaminot JSC, Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, as well as representatives of relevant departments in Karakalpakstan, Khorezm, Kashkadarya, and other regions of our country.
