This international forum is being organized in collaboration with the Government of Uzbekistan and FAO, with the main goal of sharing experiences with other landlocked developing countries, discussing issues related to climate change, developing solutions, and establishing mutually beneficial cooperation.
The two-day forum will cover various areas, including a high-level meeting of agriculture ministers, discussions on WTO membership, investment opportunities, cooperation with the private sector, food security, climate change adaptation, and innovations.
In addition, an investment forum is planned within the framework of the event, during which prospective projects will be developed. Representatives from international organizations and foreign financial institutions are expected to attend.
During his visit, the FAO Director-General will also hold several official meetings and visit various agricultural facilities.
FAO, established in 1945, is a specialized agency of the United Nations responsible for issues related to agriculture, food security, and nutrition. The organization has 194 member countries, and its headquarters is located in Rome.
