State organizations conducted illegal public procurement worth 20 billion UZS in two months 

The Committee for Development of Competition and Protection of Consumer Rights prevented unlawful state purchases of nearly 20 billion UZS in July-August.

The largest number of procurement violations were recorded in the Kokand landscaping department (6.3 billion UZS) and the medical association of Chirakchi district of Kashkadarya region (1.7 billion UZS).

According to the committee, during the trades, actions that limit competition, as well as contrary to the requirements of the law "On state procurement" were committed.

Following the inspection results, a criminal case was initiated against the customers, and the unlawful purchases were canceled.

For example, in the Andijan region, the following organizations and institutions have allowed conflicts of interest in public procurement:

• 100 million UZS by the Balıkchi District Medical Association;
• 200 million UZS by the Markhamat District Landscaping Department;   
• 180 million UZS by the 2nd academic lyceum under the Andijon State University; 
• 645 million UZS by the Khanabad City Medical Association;

In the Bukhara region:

• 210 million UZS by the Jondor District Medical Association;
• 270 million UZS by the Peshku district specialized school under the Ministry of preschool and school education;
• 650 million UZS by the Kogon City Medical Association;

In the Jizzakh region:

• About 1 billion UZS by the Academic Lyceum under the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute;

In the Kashkadarya region:

• 150 million UZS by the Landscaping Department of Yakkabogh district;
• 1.7 billion UZS by the Chirakchi District Medical Association;

In the Khorezm region:

• 1.1 billion UZS by the specialized boarding school for Olympic and national sports of Bogot district;
• 1 billion 22 million UZS by the preschool and school education department of Urganch city;

In the Namangan region:

• 250 million UZS by the Vocational School No. 3 of Kosonsoy district; 

In the Republic of Karakalpakstan:

• 748.2 million UZS by the Nukus City Medical Association;

In the Syrdarya region:

• 89.9 million UZS by the Khovos District Medical Association;

In the Navoi region:

• 440 million UZS by the Karmana district "Specialized boarding school No. 25 with special educational needs";

In the Samarkand region:

• 973.6 million UZS by the Bulungur District Medical Association;

In the Tashkent region:

• 344.7 million UZS by the Cultural Department of Chirchik city;

In the city of Tashkent:

• 907.1 million UZS by the "Children's hematology, oncology and clinical immunology" center;
• 494.9 million UZS by the “Uzbektelecom” JSC;
• 450 million UZS by the Scientific Research Institute of Virology;

In the Fergana region:

• 100 million UZS by the Fergana City Landscaping Department;
• 492 million UZS by the Landscaping Department of Baghdad District;
• 6.3 billion UZS by the Kokand City Landscaping Department;
• 165.5 million UZS by the State Enterprise for Exploiting Roads of Buvayda district.
