Shavkat Mirziyoyev receives Türkiye’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and director of National Intelligence Service
At the meeting, current issues of further strengthening of strategic partnership relations and development of multilateral cooperation were discussed.
On September 12, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya and Director of the National Intelligence Service Ibrahim Kalin.
During the official visit of the President to Türkiye on June 6-7 this year, within the framework of the implementation of the agreements reached, the urgent issues of further strengthening of Uzbekistan- Türkiye comprehensive strategic partnership relations and development of multifaceted cooperation were considered.
The effective results of the joint meeting held today by the ministers and heads of departments of the two countries were highly appreciated. It was emphasized the importance of continuing regular and systematic contacts, expanding the format and agenda of such negotiations in accordance with the adopted “roadmap”.
Issues of deepening political dialogue, promotion of trade-economic and investment cooperation projects were discussed. Special attention was paid to strengthening inter-agency cooperation and conducting joint activities to combat modern security threats and risks.
Also, opinions were exchanged on the current aspects of regional cooperation and partnership within the framework of international organizations.
