Uzbekistan and Slovakia sign bilateral economic cooperation agreement

Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, and Slovakia’s Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, Juraj Blanár, signed a bilateral Agreement on Economic Cooperation during a meeting in New York.

The agreement aims to strengthen economic ties between the two nations, promoting business partnerships, trade growth, and joint projects. Commenting on the occasion, Bakhtiyor Saidov expressed optimism about the future of bilateral relations. 

"We are pleased to sign the Agreement on Economic Cooperation between Uzbekistan and Slovakia with His Excellency Juraj Blanár, Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia. Business partnerships, trade facilitation, and joint projects will bring more tangible outcomes to our bilateral relations," Saidov wrote on his Telegram channel. 

He added that during the meeting, the ministers also exchanged views on several bilateral, regional, and global cooperation topics.

Diplomatic relations between Uzbekistan and Slovakia were established on January 1, 1993, and this latest agreement is expected to further enhance the longstanding partnership.
