Uzbekistan and the UK strengthen cooperation to expand English language learning programs
Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to the UK, Ravshan Usmanov, recently held a meeting with Rupert Daniels, Director of Creativity, Sports, and Education at the UK’s Department for Business and Trade. The discussions centered on enhancing cooperation in education, particularly in English language teaching.
During the meeting, Uzbekistan’s recent reforms in education were praised, as well as the efforts to create a supportive environment for high-quality education and youth development. Additionally, the country’s initiatives to foster economic growth were highlighted.
Rupert Daniels emphasized the UK's interest in expanding collaboration across various levels of education in Uzbekistan. "The UK is keen to broaden English language teaching programs and deepen inter-university ties with Uzbekistan," he said.
As a result of the meeting, both sides agreed to organize a visit by the UK Department for Business and Trade delegation to Uzbekistan in October to further explore opportunities for partnership.
