Uzbekistan, UN to enhance human security efforts in Aral Sea region
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs held a meeting on October 8 with the UN Resident Coordinator in Uzbekistan, Sabine Machl, to discuss key aspects of cooperation between the country and the organization.
According to the MFA, the meeting focused on current collaborative efforts, particularly in the context of implementing the "Uzbekistan 2030" Strategy.
The discussions highlighted the importance of strengthening the Multi-Partner Human Security Trust Fund for the Aral Sea region, a critical initiative aimed at addressing environmental and human security challenges in the area.
The two sides also exchanged views on the schedule and organizational details of upcoming joint events, further solidifying the partnership between Uzbekistan and the UN.
