Uzbekistan and Hungary strengthen ties with new trade and investment projects
Uzbekistan and Hungary have announced plans to establish a new portfolio of trade and economic projects, reinforcing their strategic partnership and expanding multi-faceted cooperation. The decision was made during a meeting between the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orbán, held on the sidelines of the Organization of Turkic States summit in Bishkek.
According to the press service of the Uzbek president, the leaders discussed key areas for strengthening Uzbek-Hungarian relations, highlighting recent progress in trade, industrial cooperation, and joint initiatives. Trade turnover between the two nations has been on the rise, and a collaborative effort is underway to establish an industrial park in the Tashkent region. Last month, Kokand hosted the first forum of Uzbek and Hungarian regional representatives, and this month, significant cultural events are scheduled in Budapest to celebrate the two countries' ties.

Mirziyoyev and Orbán also reviewed the calendar of upcoming bilateral events and stressed the importance of developing a new portfolio of trade, economic, and investment projects involving leading companies from both nations.
The meeting included an exchange of views on pressing regional issues, underlining the commitment of both countries to mutual understanding and collaboration on international matters.
