Kodirov shared the news on his Telegram channel, referencing global conversations on the topic.
Kodirov’s post was in response to social media comments by Ivanka Trump, the daughter of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, who had shared her father’s recent statement advocating for the withdrawal of federal funding from schools that promote “unacceptable sexual content and transgender ideology.”
Kodirov expressed support for this stance, remarking that “addressing the root of the issue is very positive.” He added, “We are working on passing a law that will ban any propaganda on this topic.”
No additional details regarding the potential legislation or its scope were provided in Kodirov’s statement.
