Traffic violation by Emergency Ministry vehicle sparks public concern
A video circulated on social networks shows a vehicle belonging to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (license plate “01 050 FVV”) making an illegal turn and entering the ministry building from a prohibited spot.
The incident took place on November 12 near the intersection of Nurafshon and Sharof Rashidov streets in Tashkent, where the ministry's headquarters is located.
According to Uzbekistan’s Administrative Code, Article 128-5, Part 2, crossing into the opposite lane in violation of traffic regulations can result in a fine of 10 base calculation units (approximately 3,750,000 UZS). This penalty is applied to drivers found in violation of laws designed to maintain safe traffic flow and prevent accidents on public roads.
The incident has raised questions about adherence to traffic rules among government vehicles, particularly in high-traffic areas of the city.
