Kyrgyzstan’s gas exports to Uzbekistan surge fivefold in 2024
The export of natural and liquefied gas from Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan increased by 5.3 times in the first nine months of 2024 compared to the same period last year, according to Kyrgyzstan’s National Statistics Committee, as reported by 24.kg.
From January to September 2024, Kyrgyzstan exported 654.9 tons of natural and liquefied gas to Uzbekistan, earning $322,000. This marks a significant rise from 2023 when the country exported 127.4 tons of gas worth $52,000 over the same timeframe.
The data highlights the growing energy trade between the two countries, driven by increased demand and strengthened economic ties.
Additionally, Kyrgyzstan exported 16.3 tons of gas to China in 2024, valued at $7,800.
